Elliot Dobski

10 juillet 2026 Paperman & Fils

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Elliot Emanuel (Eliyahu ben Chaya Rachel ve Shmuel) on July 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous and difficult battle.

Elliot was the proud patriarch of a close and deeply devoted family. He was the cherished husband and best friend of Jody (née Melnick), with whom he shared more than 30 years of marriage built on unwavering adoration, devotion, partnership, and laughter. Together, they cultivated a home where love, kindness, and family were always at the heart of everything.

Nothing made Elliot happier than being with his family. Whether celebrating life’s milestones or simply lounging on a Sunday afternoon, he had a remarkable ability to turn the ordinary into magical memories. The treasured father and father-in-law of Jordana and Mitchell Kujavsky, Jeremy and Holly Truax, Samantha (Scott Ryan), and Haley and Matt Taerk, and the extraordinarily proud Zaidy of Rose, Harry, and Sonny, who brought him endless nachas and immeasurable joy.

Elliot was predeceased by his beloved parents, Samuel and Helen, Holocaust survivors whose resilience helped shape the man he became. He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Judy (Leslie Weisz), brother-in-law Ken Kadonoff, and very special big-sister-cousins Helen and Irene and their spouses. Elliot also leaves behind much-loved nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends, all of whom held a special place in his big heart.

To know Elliot was to know someone truly unforgettable; he filled every room with his presence, warmth, humour, and unmistakable energy. A consummate salesman, Elliot’s greatest talent was never simply selling: it was connecting. He had an extraordinary gift for seeing people as they are, making them feel valued, and leaving them smiling long after. He struck up conversations wherever he went, made friends effortlessly, and was always ready with a joke. His warmth, kindness, generosity, and genuine interest in others left lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to meet him.

Affectionately known as “The Beast” in his younger days, he was the embodiment of strength, resilience, loyalty, and steadfast devotion, offering an unwavering sense of safety and unconditional love. He taught by example that kindness is a strength, that laughter belongs in every day, and that life is richer when we embrace joy, silliness, and our wonderfully authentic selves.

The love Elliot gave so generously did not end with him. It lives on in his family, children, grandchildren, and in every act of kindness, laughter, and unconditional love inspired by his example.

He will be profoundly missed and forever cherished. May his memory forever be a blessing. זיכרונו לברכה.
