Emsley Laney, Jr.

Emsley A. Laney, Jr., passed away peacefully at age 94 in Wilmington, NC, surrounded by family.He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and had a distinguished career in banking, ultimately serving as President of the Bank of Chesterfield for 29 years.A devoted member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Emsley was also passionate about outdoor activities, music, and spending time with his family.He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois, and his grandson, Matthew Szabo.He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings.
