Estela Sanchez

Estela Sanchez of Tampa, Florida, passed away on April 30, 2026. She was born in Pinar del Río, Cuba, and carried with her a deep love of family, culture, and community throughout her life.

Estela was a respected businesswoman with a long and successful career in the restaurant and hospitality industry. She worked at La Teresita Restaurant, Coco Loco Cafe, and Transworld Diversified, where her dedication, warmth, and entrepreneurial spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her and experienced her work.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Braulio Sanchez.

Estela is lovingly remembered by her son, Braulio Sanchez; her daughter, Ana Luisa Dopico; her five grandchildren, Carlos, Vanessa, Laura, CJ, and Jimmy; and her six great-grandchildren, Julian, Gabriela, Emma Sofia, Lola May, Lonzo, and Celina. Her legacy lives on through her family, whom she cherished deeply.

Visitation will be held on May 5, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, Florida. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 US-301, Thonotosassa, Florida.

Estela will be remembered for her strength, resilience, and the love she shared so generously with her family and community. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
