On September 21, 2026 Floyd "Sydnor" Franklin passed away. He was the beloved lifetime partner of Carrie Jones; devoted father of Danil Franklin, Sheena Franklin and her husband Justin, Sherrie Franklin, and the late Sean Franklin and his wife Karla; cherished grandfather of Khloe, the late Kaiya, Sean Jr., Liam, Rain, Caiden, Malani, Lyric, Aspen, the late Ava, Dania, and Ava; loving son of the late George and Margaret Franklin; dear uncle of Karen; also survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236, on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 from 10-11AM, where a service will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Garrison Forest Veteran Cemetery.
