Gatha Buela Harvey

Gatha Buela White Harvey, age 99 of Springville, had a family reunion in Heaven on June 1, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Alfred Pershing Harvey; son, James Richard Harvey; parents, Judge Reese White and Arlie Maude Brown White; and siblings, Gartrell White (Sally), Bonnie Zue Hulsey (Joseph), John Tom White (Doreen), Reese White, Jr., Ella Ruth Mead (Chuck), Walter White (Martha), William White (Evelyn), Janie Maret (Harold), and Lula Belle Burden (Tommy). She is survived by her daughter, Alice Stone (Randy); daughter-in-law, Betty Harvey; grandson, Richard Harvey (Mechelle); Granddaughters, Sonya Bates (Shane), Alison Coker (David) and Randi Passmore (Greg); great-grandchildren, Steven Harvey (Maggie), Brad Harvey (Eden), Ashley Paddock (Pierson), Christina Bates, Jeremiah King (Makyah), Grace and Faith King, and Ethan Passmore; and great great-grandchildren, Lakely Harvey, Malakai Harvey and Eliza Jane Harvey. She was an active member of Springville First Baptist Church and enjoyed her time at the Springville Senior Center. Her family will celebrate her life with visitation on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with her service beginning at 11:00. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Springville Senior Center Building Fund.
