George Pollard Walthall III

George Pollard Walthall, III of Prattville, Alabama passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026.

George will be remembered for his gregarious personality, strong presence, and ability to connect with others. He was generous and always willing to help family and friends. His genuine spirit made him a loyal friend to many and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

George cherished time spent on the family farm, boating on the Alabama River, and making memories with his nephews.

George was born May 29, 1978. He was a graduate of Prattville High School and The University of Alabama. He was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

George is preceded in death by his grandparents Elizabeth and George Pollard Walthall and Thelma and Howard Sandlin (Huntsville). George is survived by his parents, Nancy and George Pollard Walthall, Jr, his sister, Carolyn Walthall Haber (Dan) and nephews, Richard Daniel and John Doster of Orlando, Florida. His aunts Melanie Walthall Chambliss and Sandy Wynn (Henry) of Huntsville. Many more family and dear friends will forever treasure his memory.

Visitation will be held at Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville Chapel, 347 E Main St, Prattville, Alabama 36067, on May 30, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at Ridout's-Brown-Service Prattville Chapel, 347 E Main St, Prattville, Alabama 36067, on May 30, 2026, beginning at 3:00 pm.
