It’s with sadness that we inform you of the death of Madame Georgette Saumure on July 22, 2026, at the age of 89. She was the wife of the late Viateur Cossette and the partner of the last 40 years of the late Robert Lauzon, the daughter of the late Oscar Saumure and Elizabeth Lortie.
She was the beloved mother of Luc (Linda Morin), Diane (Serge Lauzon), Marc, and Yves (Jacqueline Proulx), the grandmother of Pascal, Myriam, Mathieu, and Aurélie, as well as the great-grandmother of Élyane. She also leaves behind her sister Laurence, several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and friends.
A celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L’OUTAOUAIS located at 750, boulevard Maloney Est in Gatineau (Pavillon Lac Beauchamp). The family will receive condolences from 9 a.m.
