Gerald "Woody" Basinger

Gerald "Woody" Basinger, 85 of Waynesburg, PA passed away Friday, May 22, 2026.He was born January 10, 1941 in Connellsville PA, a son of the late John and Marcella Mosholder Basinger.Gerald worked for LTV steel in Cleveland until his retirement. He was the treasurer of the United Steelworkers of America Local 188 during his time there.He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses’.Deceased is his wife, Barbara Ann Glister Basinger, whom he married on January 23, 1960. Surviving are four children, Mark Basinger (Doris) of Middlefield, Ohio, Michael Basinger of Waynesburg, Mia Carpenter (Kenneth) of Streetsboro, Ohio, and Pamela Basinger of Stow, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Marvin (Linda) Basinger and Tim (Pam) Basinger.
