Gerarda “Reyna” Martinez has peacefully gone home to the Lord on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the age of 107, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 22, 1919, in Falfurrias, TX. She was a devoted Catholic, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Reyna was the heart of her family, living her faith daily through prayer, kindness, humility, and service. She was known for her unconditional love, generosity, and her ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. Her legacy includes her children, grandchildren, and many extended family members, all of whom cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Bernarda Galindo; her husband, Santos Daniel Martinez; and her brothers, Leonel and Gustavo Galindo.
Reyna leaves behind many cherished memories and her values of faith, humility, and love. She celebrated life, supported her family through life's joys and sorrows, and created countless memories that will be treasured forever.
