German Bastard Morales

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved father, German Bastard Morales, age 73, of Houston, Texas, who passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Memorial Hermann Greater Heights.

German was born on January 20, 1953, in Pichucalco, Chiapas, Mexico, to Jorge Bastard Morales and was raised by his grandmother, Andrea Morales Doporto. He made Houston his home for the past 55 years, where he built a life centered on hard work, family, and friendship.

For more than 30 years, German worked as a truck driver, a career that reflected his dedication and strong work ethic. Those who knew him will remember his infectious charisma, playful sense of humor, quick wit, and the joy he found in making others laugh. He never missed an opportunity to share a joke, enjoy a good meal, or bring a smile to those around him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Jacqueline Bastard and Monica Ortiz; his beloved grandchildren, Lorenzo Ortiz, Jose Ortiz, Sebastian Ortiz, Adrian Ortiz, and Liliana Ortiz; along with many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were enriched by his love and laughter.

A celebration of German's life will be held later in July, with details to be shared at a later date. All who knew and loved him are welcome to join us as we honor his remarkable life and the memories he leaves behind.

German was a devoted father, proud grandfather, beloved brother, and loyal friend. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will live on through his family and all whose lives he touched.
