At the La Malbaie Hospital, on July 27, 2026, at the age of 69 years and 6 months, Mr. Gilles Harvey, husband of Mrs. Claudette Maltais, passed away. He was the son of the late Mr. Léopold Harvey and Mrs. Rita Boily. He resided in Saint-Siméon.
Deeply attached to his family and his village, Gilles served the citizens of Saint-Siméon with heart, integrity, and dedication. He will be remembered as a generous man, attentive to others and deeply committed to his community. Gilles leaves behind his wife, Claudette; his children, Vicky (Dave Lévesque) and Pierre-Yves (Francis Renaud); his grandson, Émyl Harvey; his mother, Rita (the late Léopold); his brothers and sister, Denis, Alain, Pierre, and France; his brothers-in-law, Guy and Jocelyn; his godson, Kaven Harvey; as well as nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, especially Serge, Gérald, and Jessy.
The family sincerely thanks the staff of the 4th floor of the La Malbaie Hospital, the oncology department, and the citizens of Saint-Siméon for their support. Donations can be made to La Fondation Mains de l’Espoir de Charlevoix.
Funeral services will be held by Services Commémoratifs Charlevoix, at 447, rue Saint-Étienne, La Malbaie.
