Gilles Martel, born in 1954, passed away at the age of 71 years and 10 months on June 27, 2026, at the Centre Hospitalier de l’Université Laval (CHUL). He was the husband of Marjolaine Jalbert and son of the late Claire Sanfaçon and Raymond Martel. He resided in Québec. According to his wishes, there will be no funeral ritual, and his body was confided for cremation to Résidence funéraire Réjean Hamel et Filles Inc. Many family members and friends mourn his loss, and the medical staff at CHUL are recognized for their care.
