Gloria Barletta

Gloria “Cookie” Barletta, 85, of Palm Coast, Florida, formerly of Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, at AdventHealth Palm Coast.

Born on October 21, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York, Gloria was the beloved daughter of Anthony S. DiPaola and Anne M. Rosato DiPaola. A devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, Gloria dedicated her life to her family, friendships, and the joy of living life to the fullest.

Known affectionately to many as “Cookie,” a nickname she proudly earned while cruising the seas she loved so much, Gloria brought warmth, laughter, and kindness wherever she went. She worked for many years at the Brooklyn Public Library before retiring in 2001. Retirement only opened the door to even more adventures, as Gloria embraced her passion for travel and exploration.

Gloria loved seeing the world and created treasured memories traveling to Italy, Greece, Australia, and countless destinations aboard her beloved cruises with her companion Sal Barone. As a Diamond Plus member with Royal Caribbean, she formed lasting friendships and enjoyed every journey with excitement and enthusiasm. She also enjoyed bowling, bingo, Mahjong, visits to the casinos, and spending time with the many friends she made throughout her life.

Above all else, Gloria treasured her family. Her happiest moments were those spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends who loved her deeply. Her caring heart, lively spirit, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered forever.

She is survived by her two sons, Louis (Roe) Barletta and Anthony (Carol) Barletta; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her niece, Joan (Bill) Savino.

Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Barletta; her parents; and her sister, Gussie DiPaola.
