Gloria Marie Palmer

Gloria Marie Palmer, 87, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, at Trustbridge Hospice Care at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.

She was born on March 28, 1939, at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida, to the late Nicholas Eassa Hanna and Gladys Ella Hanna. In 1947, Gloria and her parents moved to California with her three brothers, Nicholas, Elias (Louie), and Richard.

Gloria was an Honored Queen of Job’s Daughters, Bethel 47, graduated from Pomona High School in 1957, became a licensed beautician the following year, and went on to attend Mt. SAC College and the University of Southern California.

Gloria married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, John Parker Palmer, on September 6, 1959. Together they had three children: John, David, and Michael. Both John and Gloria went on to become educators. With a profound love for children, Gloria specialized in early childhood development. For nearly 30 years, she served as a teacher and director at two Episcopal day schools: St. Paul’s Church in Pomona, California, and Grace Episcopal Church in West Palm Beach, Florida. Her ability to nurture and develop young minds was often described by parents and colleagues as extraordinary.

Gloria was also an incredible artist and horticulturist. She enjoyed refinishing antique furniture and restoring homes. She had a passion for cooking like no other, and one of her greatest joys was bringing family and friends together around her table.

She was passionate about many things and incredibly gifted in nearly everything she did, but above all else, she excelled at being a wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Gloria is survived by her brother Richard; her three sons; three daughters-in-law; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their children.
