Grace Kastein passed away peacefully on Friday April 24, 2026
She is survived by her daughters Marian (Jeffrey) Sager and Barbara (Ronnie) Sobel, along with her beloved grandchildren Melissa (Jonathan) Chaim with great grandchildren Eshai and Zachary, Aaron (Assel) Sager with great grandchildren Ada and Eli, Jared (Riana) Sobel with great grandchildren Sophie and Grayson, and grandson David Sager.
Grace Cotler was born on January 17,1928 in Brooklyn, New York. She married Elliot Kastein on April 16,1950 and were happily married for 72 years. Grace worked many years in New York City in the garment industry as an executive secretary. Elliot and Grace loved to travel and became snowbirds, sharing time between New York and Florida for over 20 years. They also enjoyed going to Broadway shows in New York City.
Grace’s green eyes were vibrant just like her personality. She was outgoing, and very social. Her hobbies included ceramics, shopping and loved to play Mah Jong with her friends. Grace was very involved in Pap Corps, a charity near and dear to her heart, participating in events, and making many charitable donations throughout her life.
She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, always ready with generous gifts and a big smile. Grace lived a fulfilling, wonderful life, and now may she Rest in Peace next to her beloved husband, Elliot.
Grace will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Graveside services will be held at Sharon Gardens Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Ave, Valhalla, NY 10595, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 11:00 am.
