Harold Stanley Friedman

Harold Friedman - b. April 24, 1937, d. August 7, 2026.Son of Louis and Gertrude Friedman (Simkowitz). Predeceased by his older brother Herbert. Loving husband of Linda (nee Gabriner) for 62 years. Incredibly supportive father of Lianne (Michelle Yanche), Jeffrey (Stacy) and Peter (Caroline), all of whom he was always there for. Adored "Grandpa Buzzy" to his grandchildren and step-grandchildren Annabelle, William and Edward Friedman, Elizabeth and Lauren Friedman, and Leanne, Brendan and Cate Coulthard.
As long time CEO and President of National Elevator Cab & Door, he left an indelible mark on the architecture of New York Citys greatest office buildings and hotels. As a philanthropist and former board member of I Have a Dream - New York City and sponsor of the first Ravenswood I Have Dream Class, he left a legacy of truly changing peoples lives for the better.
His life was a blessing, his memory will be cherished and he will be missed. In lieu of flowers please consider a contribution to the charity of your choice.
The funeral service will be held on August 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Riverside Memorial Chapel 180 West 76th Street, New York, NY 10023, US, on August 10, 2026, at 10:30 am.Burial to follow at Beth Moses Cemetery, 1500 Wellwood Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704, US, on August 10, 2026, at approximately 1:00 pm.
