Helen M. Sczepanski, 96, of New Fairfield died peacefully on May 14, 2026. She was the wife of the late Edward Sczepanski who predeceased her in 2015.
Mrs. Sczepanski was born November 18, 1929, in Flushing, New York, daughter of the late Julia and John Kuzniewski.
Survivors include her children: Patricia Hannan, Dan (Jill) Sczepanski, Nancy (Patrick) Hamilton and Barbara Sczepanski and grandchildren: Sean Hannan, Katie (Dennis) Tibbits, Sarah Sczepanski (Ben Vanmuysen) and Anna Sczepanski (Ben Haaland) as well as four great-grandchildren.
Helen was also predeceased by three sisters and one brother as well as their spouses and Barbara’s partner, Darel Peck.
She was a long time, active member of the St. Edward’s parish community in New Fairfield.
Mom, you will be missed more than words can say.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, CT-Route 37, New Fairfield, CT.
Friends will be received from 10:00am - 11:00am on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helen's memory may be made to St. Edward the Confessor Church, 21 Brush Hill Rd., New Fairfield, CT 06812.
