Henry Garza

Henry V. Garza, age 84 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 with his family by his side. He was born on May 25, 1942 to Porfirio and Antonia Garza in Geronimo, Texas. His family moved to Lorenzo, Texas where he attended school and graduated from Lorenzo High School. Henry attended school for welding and received his certificate as a welder. He also had a trade of carpentry work. He will always be remembered for his work ethic that he shared with his family and friends.Henry married the love of his life, Mary Salgado Garza in Ralls, Texas. They were married for 57 years and raised their beautiful family together.Henry enjoyed listening to music, dancing, fishing and going hunting with his sons and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching football. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and had his room filled with memorabilia. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, laughter, and his love of telling jokes and stories.Henry is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Salgado Garza, parents Porfirio and Antonia Garza, granddaughter Crystal M. Garza, granddaughter Desiree Velasquez, great grandson Andres E. Villa, great grandson Bryan C. Alvarado, and all his brothers and sisters.Henry is survived by his children, Letecia Villa, Henry (Teresa) Garza, Esmerejilda (Robert) Cosper, Edward (Margie) Garza, Larry (Carmen) Garza, Christina (Edward) Nunez. 28 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.Pallbearers: Ronnie Velasquez Jr., Larry Garza Jr., Edward Garza Jr., Jacob Nunez, Matthew G. Garza, Spartacus Mendoza, Septimus Mendoza, and Marco Aguirre.The family would like to give a special thanks to Angel Bright Hospice, to every friend and family member who has reached out to express their condolences. To his oldest daughter Letecia Villa for continued care throughout his life.
