Hulda Cochran Arant, born on April 30, 1930, in Metter, Georgia, was a beloved member of her community and family. She graduated from the University of South Carolina and worked as a civilian dental therapist at Fort Jackson Dental Clinic. Hulda was dedicated to her faith, active in her church, and known for her hospitality, singing, and cooking. She married Shala Henry "Buddy" Arant in 1954, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. Hulda had a special love for her family and loved ones, especially her great-grandchildren. She moved to Greensboro later in life to be closer to her daughter and made a lasting impact there.
