Irwin Friedman, 78, passed on May 22, 2026, at his home. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he resided in Manalapan, New Jersey.
Irwin was an Engineer for Lucent Technology in Holmdel, NJ.
Surviving are his wife Susan (née Zwerin) Friedman, son Brian Friedman, daughter Randi Finger, and grandchildren Samantha Friedman, Danielle Friedman, Ava Finger and Sloane Finger.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on May 24, 2026, at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ, 07726. The burial will follow at 2:30pm at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.
Shiva will be held at the residence of Irwin and Susan on Sunday after the burial until 9:00pm as well as Monday from 12:00pm - 3:00pm and 6:00pm - 9:00pm.
Shiva will also be held at Crestmont Country Club on Tuesday from 5:00pm - 8:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Irwin's memory may be made to Bright Focus (http://www.brightfocus.org).
