Ismay Magdalene Marquet

Ismay Magdalene Marquet, 76, of Prairieville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at Carpenter’s House on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

Born on May 28, 1949, in Port Sulphur, Louisiana, Ismay was the daughter of Edward John Marquet and Marie Sparacio Marquet, who preceded her in death.

She was a devoted sister and aunt who was deeply loved by her family. She is survived by her sisters, Jeanne Baudier and Eliska Cole; her brother, Ed Marquet; and numerous nieces and nephews who adored her and cherished the time they spent with her.

Ismay was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Marie Marquet.

She lived a life marked by kindness, compassion, and service to others. She was a woman of faith and her servant’s heart touched countless lives. She will be remembered for her loving spirit and the care she showed to everyone she met. Ismay absolutely adored her nieces and nephews and was so deeply loved by her sisters, brother, brother-in-laws and sister-in-law, who will forever treasure her memory.

Interment will take place at St. Bernard Memorial Cemetery in July. Times will be posted once confirmed. Though she will be greatly missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
