Jake Carroll DeKleine

John “Jake” Carroll DeKleine, age 88, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, July 21, 2026.He was preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Mildred DeKleine; great-granddaughters Quinn and Thea Lutke; daughter-in-law, Pam DeKleine. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Betty DeKleine; children Jay (Kim) DeKleine, Joan (Ken) Buiter, Jon (Vonda) DeKleine, Jacob (Amy) DeKleine; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law Carl (Dorthy) Reynhout and Alan (Nancy) Reynhout; many cousins and friends.Celebration of Jake’s life will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2026, with visitation beginning at 2 p.m., at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th Street SW, Byron Center, Michigan 49315.In honor of Jake and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace Legacy Builders or charity of your choice.
