James Lawrence Stein Jr.

James L. Stein, Jr, age 67, of Bartonville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 1:17 p.m. at Carle Proctor in Peoria.He was born April 17, 1959 in Peoria to Shirley and James Stein. He married Debi Currie on April 1, 1994 in Peoria. She survives along with one sister, Jean Grammatico of Bartonville, two nieces: Emily and Jamie Grammatico of Bartonville, one stepdaughter, Brandi (Brian) Holford of Bartonville, one stepson, Adam (Susie) Currie of Bartonville, and one step-grandson, Seth Shanahan of Bartonville.James was a United States Navy veteran. He last worked as a manager for Sams Club.He enjoyed Dungeons and Dragons, model trains, and the Chicago Bears and Bulls.Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services at this time.
