Jane Ann Warders

Jane Ann Warders, 72, of Indiana passed away on August 12, 2026 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Jane was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Azelia Rogers Warders and John R. Warders (Marjorie) on February, 24, 1954. She attended Riverside School #44, and Shortridge High School. She worked at RCA Records Processing Plant in Indianapolis for 15 years and spent the latter part of her career in hospitality and healthcare. She worked in hospitality for over 20 years eventually going back to school where she studied Medical Assistant at Brown Mackie College.

Jane served others selflessly, always offering care and kindness with a smile. Her compassionate spirit and concern for the well-being of others were further reflected in her service as a deaconess, the choir and nurse at 25th Street Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Jane is preceded in death by her mother, Azelia R. Warders, father, John R. Warders, and step-mother, Marjorie Warders.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Azelia Campbell (Timothy) of Louisville, KY, grand-daughter, Celeste Lizama of Atlanta, GA and grandson, Cameron Campbell of Louisville, KY. She is survived by extended family, Angel (SirWalter) Richardson, SirWalter Richardson II, Alexandria Campbell, Keoni Merritt, Timothy Campbell Jr., very special friends, Joyce Warsaw-Seay, Rose Songor, and Sherrell Willis.

The family of Jane Warders wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Community East Critical Care Unit of Indianapolis, IN. The family would also like to thank the Nurses, Aides and all of the staffing at Brickyard Healthcare - Brookview Care Center for the care and the attention shown towards Jane Warders in her time at your facility. Your kindness and compassion did not go unnoticed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the 25th Street Baptist Church (525 W 25th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208).

Funeral services will also be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Kenneth Manuel at the 25th Street Baptist Church (525 W 25th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208). The burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery with arrangements made by Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery.
