On June 14, 2026, Janel Audet passed away in Desbiens at the age of 74. He was the son of the late Eugène Audet and Juliette Girard. The funeral arrangements are handled by Hébert & Fils Funeral Home, and his ashes will be placed in the Desbiens cemetery at a later date.
Janel leaves behind his sisters Nelly (Valdur Pille) and Louise (late Jacques Ouellet); his brothers Yves and Serge (Sergine Lajoie); and his nephews and nieces Isabelle, Eric, Kevin (Cristina), Kristina (Louis), Marie-Hélène (Jérémie), Claudie (Frédérique), and Audrey (Mathieu).
