Peacefully, in her ninety-first year on Thursday, June 25, 2026.Wife of the late Larry Lazar for over forty years. Beloved stepmother of Barry Lazar (Celina Segal), Mark Lazar (Vania de Gregorio), Susan Lazar Hart (Richard Hart). Loving aunt of Tanya Waite. Cherished grandmother of Rick Jr, Nicholas, Kelsey and Gaelen Hart; Shira Lazar; and Sarah Segal-Lazar. Proud great grandmother of Lilly and Charles.Jean was a vivacious, engaged person with a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, dogs and horses. She arrived in Canada from South Africa by way of England in the 1960s and was a beloved legal secretary at Martineau Walker. Her love of skiing and travel endeared her to her husband Larry, and they had many wonderful years together.The family wishes to thank her caregivers Estrelita, Maria and the staff of Chateau Westmount for several years of care and devotion.Graveside service on Sunday, June 28, at 11 am at the Shaare Zion Beth-El Congregation, Beth El Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
