Jeanette Warren Barbee

Jeanette Barbee, devoted and loving wife, mother, and friend, passed away on May 15, 2026.

Jeanette was born on February 6, 1943, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Ara and Elliott Warren. Jeanette met the love of her life, Ed Barbee, in Memphis, TN, and married on May 18, 1979, and shared 33 beautiful years together, until Ed’s passing on November 24, 2012. Together, they set a tremendous example of faith, love and strength of character, and were a source of inspiration to all who knew them.

Jeanette moved to Houston in 1980, along with Ed and her son Randy. Jeanette worked for various companies throughout Houston as an Office Manager. Some of her favorite things to do included spending time with her son and her daughter-in-law; Randy and Sabrina, visiting with her best friend; Bronyn, watching movies, especially superhero movies with her son, and reading, but her true passion was visiting with friends that were in AL-ANON.

Jeanette is survived by her son; Randy (Sabrina) Ross, stepsons; Rick Barbee and Kenneth Barbee, stepdaughters; Valerie Barbee and Theresa Barbee Howser, and many other family and friends that will miss her deeply.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years; Ed Barbee, parents; Ara and Roy Warren, brother; Roy Warren, and sister; Shirley Warren.
