Jerry Dale Fidler was born July 30th 1945 in California and passed peacefully on September 20th 2026 at OSF St. Francis. He is survived by his wife Kathy (Ebens), his daughter Karma (Nuesken), his son Phillip (Moats), and step daughter Susan (Moats). Jerry also leaves his grandchildren Tuesday (Phillips), Luke (Young), Madison (Moats), Austin (Moats), Alyssa (Merritt), and Dylan (Moats).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Katie (Grigsby) and Charles (Fidler), as well as his brothers, Charles, Richard and Carl Fidler.
Jerry attended and graduated from IVC in Chillicothe, IL and then joined the Navy. After leaving the Navy Jerry pursued a career at Caterpillar. He was proud that he started in the mail room and worked his way up to a senior engineer upon retirement. Jerry obtained several patents from Caterpillar and was passionate about his career.
Jerry had a large rock and roll music collection and enjoyed music trivia. Jerry was also passionate about muscle cars and specifically corvettes. He loved good food and was known to cook for gatherings himself.
