Jimmie Elgin Lee

Jim began his lifelong commitment to service at the age of 18 when he enlisted in the United States Air Force. As a proud Vietnam veteran, he served honorably in Air Rescue and Recovery. After 13 years of faithful active duty, Jim returned home to care for his parents and help operate the family business, Lee Tobacco and Candy Company. His commitment to his country never faded, leading him to join the Naval Reserves, where he served another 13 years until his retirement in 2001. Jim possessed an adventurous spirit and a deep love for nature, especially the beaches and water. He spent many joyous hours scuba diving with friends and loved taking his friends out for meals and adventures with his grandchildren. A man of faith and humility, Jim was proud to be a Child of God and always shared wisdom and kindness.
