Jiviben Bhagwandas Patel

Jiviben Patel, age 77, died on July 5, 2026. Born on April 3, 1949, in India, Jiviben carried forward a steady, devoted spirit that was felt most deeply in the way she cherished her home and those she loved. She resided in Cary, North Carolina.

From her early years, Jiviben found comfort and community in going to the Temple and socializing, valuing connection and togetherness in the everyday moments that make a life rich and meaningful.

Jiviben is preceded in death by her husband, Bhagwandas Ramdas Patel, and grandson, Jay Patel. She is survived by her children, Amy Byrd (Lee), Mukesh Patel (Stacie), Suresh Patel (Asha), and Bharat Patel (Surekha); 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Her family meant the most to her, and she was proud and excited to have her entire family living together in the US. With attentive care and enduring devotion, she looked after all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, offering her presence in the countless ways that truly sustain a family.

A kid at heart, Jiviben even enjoyed riding roller coasters, and she also loved walking on the beach—simple pleasures that reflected an enduring appreciation for joy, fresh air, and time shared with others.

Jiviben will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude for the love she gave so faithfully, and for the family life she nurtured with unwavering devotion.

Hindu Funeral Rites and Viewing will take place at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home & Crematory, 300 Saint Mary's Street, Raleigh, NC on July 10, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
