Jo Ann Faunce

Jo Ann Faunce, of Freeport, MI, passed away on May 16, 2026, at the age of 79. She was born on November 2, 1946, in Hastings, MI, the daughter of Alwyn & Lucille Rosenberger. Jo graduated from Lowell High School in 1964. In1966, Jo married George “Jody” Albert Faunce Jr.

Jo retired from Flexfab in 2011 after 32 years of service.

Jo loved many things, but above all she loved her family and her pets. She was an avid cook and always looked forward to visitors stopping by, greeting them with fresh baked goods and a cup of coffee. It didn’t matter what time you stopped, there was always coffee being brewed. And it wasn’t Thanksgiving unless you had her stuffing and her cranberry salad.

Jo also loved painting, gardening and bird watching – cardinals being her favorite bird. Her television was always on with an old-time western or the show Cops. Jo enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents, and George “Jody” Faunce Jr.

Jo is survived by her three children, Stacey Faunce of Fort Wayne, IN, George “Joe” (Theresa) Faunce III of Freeport, MI, and Shane (Amanda) Faunce of Freeport, MI; 6 grandchildren, Christopher (Trisha) Faunce, Cory Faunce, Chase Mugridge, Grace Faunce, Tristan Faunce, and Ryan Faunce; four great-grandchildren; Sister Bonnie Kidder, Brother Robert Rosenberger; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved black Labrador, Jake.

Jo’s family is planning a Celebration of Life service on July 11 at the Freeport Community Center, 209 S State St, Freeport, MI.

In lieu of flowers, please plant a fruit tree at the location of your choice in her honor.
