Judith "Judy" Ann Arasu, 74 years old from Tampa, Florida passed away on Sunday May 24, 2026. She was born on August 31, 1951 in Peoria, Illinois to John and Helen Braun. Judy graduated from Illinois Central Community College, went on to become a cardiology tech, and then devoted all her efforts to being a homemaker and taking care of her three children.
She loved watching sports (diehard Packers fan), traveling, visiting Disney World and taking care of her two precious Yorkies (Sherman and Nico). Judy enjoyed tennis the most always watching on the TV (at all hours of the day) and attending tournaments like the US Open and the Miami Open. Christmas season was her favorite time of the year because she loved family celebrating, decorating, and continuing traditions together.
She was so devoted to taking her kids to their respective school and sports events. Without reservation she would take care of her beloved grandson Matteo. As Matteo would say, she would fill up the bath tub “really high “and “always took care of me when I was sick”.
Judith married Thiru Arasu on October 18, 1982 and together they shared 43 wonderful years. She is survived by her husband Thiru Arasu, her three children Saraswathi (Jeff) Cappelle of Tampa, FL, Vijay Arasu of Columbia, SC and Raj Arasu (Rica Haraguchi) of Clearwater, FL, grandchild Matteo Cappelle, and her brother Jim (Kim) Braun of Seneca, SC.
