Kathleen Mary Gartner

17 mai 2026 Dignity Memorial

Kathleen Mary Comer-Gartner was born on September 9, 1961 in Culver City, CA, and passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2026 in Newhall, CA, and joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in heaven.

Kate spent most of her childhood in Canyon Country, CA and graduated from Canyon High School in 1979.

Kate had several positions during her working career, but really found her niche in the entertainment industry. She worked in motion picture production, with a specialty in model building and practical effects.

She married her husband, David Gartner, on January 1, 2001, where the two became one, on 01-01-01.

They traveled extensively, usually with their small dogs in tow, throughout California and much of the West.

Kate was beloved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was full of life, love, and joy and had many dear friends. Anyone who ever heard her wonderful laugh and knew her priceless love, will agree she left an indelible mark on their souls!

She will be greatly missed by her husband David, father Bob and step-mother Elizabeth, and brother Kevin & his wife Joan, sister-in-laws Debbi & Deede, her nieces & nephews Brooke (Brian), Nick (Colleen), Katy (Wes), Ronnie (Judy), and her many great-nephews & great-nieces that she adored in Dallas, TX, along with cousins & friends by the dozen.

She was pre-deceased by her maternal grandparents, William & Cecilia Farrell, and paternal grandparents Keith & Bonnie Comer, mother Joan, sister Kerry, beloved nephew Seth, and her brother-in-law "Mikey."

The Gartner & Comer families deeply appreciate and are truly consoled by the immense outpouring of love, prayers, and comfort since Kate’s passing.

Kyrie Eleison (Lord Have Mercy)
