Kathryn Williams Garvin

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Kathryn (Kay) Jolene Williams Garvin on July 27, 2026.Born in Dallas on March 31, 1945, to Earl and Phyllis Williams, Kay graduated from Richardson High School in 1963. She lived in Dallas her entire life, except when she and her spouse at the time moved to Europe for a year and a half to work, explore and travel. Kay loved every dog she ever owned, 50s rock and roll, all music by Johnny Mathis, playing Wordle. and researching her family's ancestry. She enjoyed celebrating her Italian heritage using her mother and grandmother's famous Kickirillo family recipes to make delicious meals. Kay was so proud to be the first grandchild that she included the title on the gravestone she had made that is already in place in the cemetery plot where she will rest with her Kickirillo grandparents.Kay had a varied career working primarily in the trucking industry with East Texas Motor Freight, and the brokerage industry with Eppler, Guerin and Turner, and First Dallas Securities. She was always respected and loved by her bosses and coworkers.She was a cherished daughter, sister to her 4 siblings, aunt, friend, and a gift to all who knew her. Kay is survived by brothers Darryl Williams and Roger (Debra) Williams, sister Maggie Schoppe, nephew Kris (Madi) Williams, niece Danielle (Cody) Stone and great-niece Lyric Stone, lifelong friends Janie Bush and Kathy Williams, and her ex-spouse Jim Garvin. Kay's parents and her dear brother Jody Williams preceded her in death.A celebration of Kay's life will be scheduled at a later date.Contributions to the Parkinson's Foundation, any animal rescue, or other charity of your choice are welcome in lieu of flowers.May she rest in Peace and know how much we all loved her.
