Kathy Sue Thomas, 69, of Morton, Illinois, passed away on August 19, 2026. Born February 5, 1957, in Peoria, Illinois, to Edward and Donna (Kashner) Grant.Kathy married Howard Thomas, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Sean, Andrew, and Courtney; her sister, Cheryl Grant; her brother, Ray Grant; and her grandsons, Oliver and Corey.She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carol.Kathy spent nearly 30 years working at Proctor Hospital, a long and meaningful chapter.A proud and enthusiastic sports fan, Kathy cheered for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Bears, and she especially loved supporting her sons’ hockey teams.A celebration of life will be held at a later date.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
