Laverne A. Livers, 92, of Evansville passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026. She was born December 13, 1933 in Mt. Vernon, IN to Alvin and Marie (Damm) Grabert.She retired from AT&T in 1997 after 46 years of service. Laverne was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed raising her children and family. She was a longtime member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. Laverne enjoyed cooking, baking, and getting the family together. She never wanted anyone to be left out.
Laverne was preceded in death by her parents; children, Kimberly Smith, Cathy Mullen, Mark Livers, Mike Livers, and Cheryl Lueder; and brothers, Alvin Grabert, Edward Grabert, and Leroy Grabert.She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Woodward (Donald); 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Lynn Marino, with entombment to follow in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ.
