Lester Glenn Luurtsema

Lester Glenn Luurtsema, age 89 of Holland, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at American House in Holland.

Les was born in Blendon Township to Anthony and Grace (Blaauwkamp) Luurtsema, and was a lifelong resident of the area.

He served our country at Fort Leanard Wood in the United States Army, was a member of Borculo CRC, and retired from Keeler Brass after many years of service.

In his spare time, Les could be found enjoying some of his favorite things, including bowling, golfing, and camping with family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

His parents preceded him in death, along with his brother Arthur.

Les is survived by his wife of 67 years, Myra; son Dennis (Julie) Luurtsema; step grandchildren and great grandchildren; many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Services are pending at this time. Burial will be in Borculo Cemetery.
