Linda Cobb

Linda grew up in Moody AL, the only daughter of James and Annie Taylor, a “Coal Miners Daughter”. Rural St. Clair County in the 1950 era was sparsely populated, Linda loved school since it gave her someone to play with growing up on a farm, she had her own horse, Frosty, named after the color of her tail.Linda also took up the piano and actually played for her church from the age of 12. She also learned to sew and made many of her own clothes.Linda graduated from Pell City High. She went to work for Protective Life and soon moved to United Chair Company in Leeds where she stayed for 15 years as an assistant purchasing agent.In 1983 she married the love of her life Jake and they loved each other daily for 43 years. Linda retired for 7 months to take care of her dad but quickly realized that without working she had no income. She went to work with Jake at Headway Promotional Prods., for the next 21 years until they formed Cobb & Cobb Promotional Prods., Inc. where she was President of the company until pancreatic cancer forced her to retire for good. She also learned to knit from a lady from Persia and made many scarves for missionary ladies and friends.Linda’s real passion was people, she loved to meet and greet new friends, they usually became friends after only a few minutes. Linda had a unique ability to get to know a person from the heart, they trusted her because of her kind hearted love and beautiful smile. She especially loved meeting young adults, they would listen intently to all Linda had to say. But her greatest love was talking about Jesus and praying to Jesus for her family and friends. She wanted everyone of them to trust Jesus as Saviour and Lord of their lives. Linda leaves behind a legacy of loving others and serving her Saviour and Lord each day of her life. “Well done thy Faithful Angel.”P.S. She was given a special blessing to meet her Great, Great Nephew Fletcher, born on December 15th, 2025!Linda was preceded in death by her parents James Almos Taylor and Annie Hartley Taylor and her brother, Bobby Lee Taylor.Linda is survived by her husband of 43 years J. (Jake) Cobb, Nieces: Lea Anne (Dale) Spitzer of Remlap Alabama, Kelli Nicole (Brad) Sanders of Odenville Alabama, Great Nieces: Jessica Shelby (Ben) Crenshaw of Moody Alabama, Erica Michelle Spitzer of Birmingham Alabama, Anna Lea Sanders of Odenville Alabama, Great Nephew: Garrett Stovall Sanders of Odenville Alabama, Great Great Nephew: Fletcher Dale Crenshaw of Moody Alabama and Thousands of Loving Friends.
