Linda Reedy 75, of Haughton Louisiana, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on October 2, 1950 in Dallas, Texas, Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose love and strength touched everyone who knew her. She dedicated her life to caring for those she loved and created a home filled with warmth, compassion, and laughter.
She will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, sense of humor, strength, faith, love for family, and the comfort she brought to so many throughout her life. Even during difficult times, she continued to show love, resilience, and grace.
Linda enjoyed cooking, gardening, music, church, family gatherings, and her dogs. She had a creative spirit, a deep love for beauty, and bringing life back into things. She was often found caring for her flowers and plants with patience and pride. She had a passion for antiques. She spent many years owning and operating her antique business. She enjoyed restoring furniture and treasured pieces, giving them new life and finding joy in sharing them with others. Her talent, eye for beauty, and hard work touched many people throughout the years.
Additionally she loved volunteering for the preparation of Louisiana State University Alumni events and cheering for the Tigers.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Reedy; children, Michelle Cisneros (Lupe Cisneros), Jennifer Reedze (Kenneth Reedze), Jeff Holmes, Jonathan Hilsher, Eric Reedy (Kathy Reedy), and Kathy Gipa-Reedy (Imelda Gipa-Reedy); grandchildren, Lauren Marie Holmes, Christopher Lee Alviar, Christian Cisernos (Mallory), Maleah Cisernos (Alain), Evan Cisernos (Summer), Olivia Cisernos, Patrick Gonzales, Alexandria Logue (Devin), Ashlyn Gable Lange, Mason Gipa Sanders, Mallory Gipa Sanders, Chad Pennington (Miranda) Sean Pennington (Sara), and McKenzye Reedy (Jackson); and sister, Winnie Pennington.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Patrick Gonzales; niece, Anita Pennington; and nephew, Benjey Fred Pennington.
Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Linda's life on Monday, May 18, 2026 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank Bristol Hospice caregivers, doctors, friends, family, church, and community for their care, kindness, and support during her final days.
