Lona Elaine Schroeder, 45, passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2026, in Fishers, IN. She was born in Noblesville, IN on October 21, 1980, to Larry Chandler and Emma St. Dennis.

Lona graduated from Hamilton Heights High School in Cicero, IN and Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.

She is survived by her loving husband Doug Schroeder, her children: Beaumont Prchal, Camille Schroeder & Forrest Schroeder, her Parents: Emma & Bill St. Dennis and Larry & Melissa Chandler, her Siblings: Stacy Scott (Danny), Lara Chandler-Belsley (Matt Belsley), Leah Estes (Duane), Megan Taylor (Mike), Will Kahms (Amanda), and Vanyel Wolfshadow, and many beloved nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a TRIBE of friends!

She was preceded in death by grandparents Freida Chandler, Floyd Chandler and John & Joy Shanks.

Lona had a unique way of loving life that was contagious. She was open. She was warm. She had the biggest heart and the most welcoming arms. She was fun and spontaneous and loving and completely herself. She made people feel seen. She made people feel welcome and somehow, being around her made life feel a little more fun, a little more colorful, and a whole lot more meaningful.

Lona was proud of and beyond loved her children and dreamed with them about their future education. Her legacy will live on in these beautiful souls. She would love you to support that dream in her honor.

Visitation will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208, on September 25, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Visitation will also be held at Saint Simon the Apostle Catholic Church, 8155 Oaklandon Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46236, on September 26, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Simon the Apostle Catholic Church on September 26, 2026, at 11:00 am.
