Obituary

On March 23, 2026, Lorraine Duchesne, aged 97 years 6 months, passed away at CIUSSS du Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, Centre d'hébergement de la Colline, in Chicoutimi. She was the wife of the late Alain Létourneau and daughter of the late Albertine Boucher and Georges Duchesne.

The family will welcome relatives and friends on Thursday, April 9, from 14:00 to 17:00 and 19:00 to 21:00, and on Friday, April 10, from 9:00 to 10:45, at the Complexe funéraire Chicoutimi, 520, boul. Saguenay Est, Chicoutimi.

The funeral will be held on April 10, 2026, at 11:00 at the Cathedral, located at 514, rue Racine Est, Chicoutimi, G7H 1T9. She was entrusted to the crematorium of the Alliance funéraire du Royaume, and her ashes will be laid to rest at the St. François-Xavier cemetery.

She leaves behind her children: Francine Létourneau and Richard Létourneau (Francine Blackburn); her grandchildren: Anne Louise, Marie-Claude Lessard, Mathieu Létourneau; her great-grandchildren: Anne-Frédérique, Zack, and Charles-Olivier.

She was the sister of the late Esther Duchesne (Soeur Bon-Conseil), Bertrand (deceased), Denis (Thérèse Sauvageau), Rolande (Louis-Joseph Tremblay, deceased), Réal (Jeanine Michaud, deceased), and Hélène (Michel Cloutier).

Her sister-in-law was the late Marthe Létourneau (Antoine Turcotte, deceased), Berthe (Raymond Lemieux, deceased), Gemma (Maurice Poirier, deceased), Robert (Monique Parent, deceased), Jean-Marie (Alida Rangers, deceased). She also leaves many nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.

The family thanks the staff of the Centre d'hébergement de la Colline for their good care of Mrs. Duchesne.
