Louise M. Huey

Louise M. Huey, age 92, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026. Born on December 10, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the cherished daughter of the late Louis and Emily (Barbier) Montesano.

Rooted in her Italian heritage, Louise carried with her a deep love of family, tradition, and life’s simple joys. She was known for her warmth, strength, and unmistakable spirit—qualities that left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Beautiful both inside and out, Louise lived fully and unapologetically, embracing each day with grace, resilience, and a touch of her own style.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ward Huey, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership, and by her brother, Joe Montesano.

Louise is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Dawn (Thomas) Foley and Dyan (Anthony) Thompson, and her great-grandchildren, Devyn (Kailee) White, Amanda Higgins and Thomas Hurst, Madyson (Jorden) Erickson, Kyle Higgins, and MaKenna Foley, as well as her nieces and nephews, all of whom carry forward her legacy of love, laughter, and family devotion.

In the end, just like her husband, Louise did it her way—on her terms, with dignity and strength. She will be deeply missed, mourned with tears today, and remembered always with the many smiles she brought into the lives of others.

A life well lived, a heart well loved, and a spirit that will never be forgotten.
