Manuel Alvares De La Fuente, age 94, was born on June 4, 1931, in Santander Jimenez and passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026, in Houston.

Manuel was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He lived a life rooted in faith, hard work, and dedication to those he loved most.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Antonia De La Fuente, and by his parents, Josephina Alvares and Manuel De La Fuente Caldron.

Manuel leaves to cherish his precious memory his daughter, Maria Guinia Garza and husband Michael Anthony Garza, Sr.; his son, Manuel De La Fuente, Jr. and wife Rosa Maria De La Fuente; his grandchildren, Michael Anthony Garza, Jr., Shawn Michaels Garza, Jaqueline De La Fuente, Manuel De La Fuente, and Alejandro De La Fuente; and his sisters, Ramona, Alicia, and Margarita. He also leaves behind many other loving family members and dear friends who will forever treasure the time they shared with him.

Though he may no longer walk beside us, Manuel’s love, wisdom, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
