Manuel J Becerra, age 83, passed away on September 9, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. Born September 26, 1942, in Sonora, Mexico, Manuel carried with him a steady devotion to family and a life shaped by honest work and enduring love.

A man known for the dignity of his effort, Manuel spent his working years in environmental services (waste Management) as an equipment operator. Through dependable labor and perseverance, he provided for those he loved and earned the respect of all who knew him.

Manuel also found joy in the simple, lasting pleasures of life, especially his passion for horses—an interest that reflected both his steadfast nature and the quiet pride he took in the things he cared for.

Manuel married Maria Luisa. He was preceded in death by his son, Sergio Becerra. He is survived by his wife, Maria Luisa Sanchez de Becerra; his daughter, Jessica Becerra; his son, Francisco Becerra; his grandchildren; his nieces & nephews; and his brothers & sisters.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel South Lawn, 5401 South Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706, on September 23, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. A Rosary will be held, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Graveside Service will be held at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706, on September 24, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.

Manuel will be remembered as a beloved presence—steadfast, devoted, and hard-working—whose life left a lasting imprint on the family he cherished.
