Margarita Henriquez

It is with profound sadness, but also with immense gratitude for all the love, tenderness, and precious life lessons she shared, that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Margarita Henriquez, who died on July 4, 2026, at the age of 85.

Mother was a woman of remarkable strength, generous of heart, courageous, wise, gathering, and deeply devoted to her family and friends, both in Canada and El Salvador. She had an unparalleled sense of humor and loved telling stories as much as listening to them. Her resilience and capacity to love will remain forever engraved in the hearts and memories of all who had the privilege to share in her life.

She leaves behind her children, Eny (Andy), Nelson (Sylvie), Christopher (Laurie), and Bernardo (Viviana). Her son Jonas will forever remain in her family’s heart. She also leaves a great void and a precious memory in the hearts of her grandchildren: Katrina (Donald), Alex (Siobhan), Sabrina (Mathieu), Samuel (Alexandra), Elizabeth (Patrick), David (Sarah), Victoria, Matheo, Lorenzo, and Amanda, as well as her great-grandchildren: James, Julianne, Lucia, Liv, Charlie, Florence, and Estelle, along with the sweet memory of Lauralie.

She will also be missed by her sisters and brother, Reina (Rafael), Magdalena, Zoila, Mauricio (Blanca), and their respective families, as well as her brother Pedro, who has already left us.

She also leaves behind her long-time loyal friends who will remember her as an exceptional woman.

Our gratitude to her family, friends, and caregivers who contributed to her well-being. Your visits, calls filled with loyalty, love, generosity, and affection, as well as your comforting words, brightened her days.

We also sincerely thank the team at CLSC and staff at La Source Bleue Palliative Care Home for their dedication, humanity, compassionate care, and attentive service.

Mother, your love and wisdom will continue to guide and inspire us every day. You will never be forgotten, and as you said so well:
