Maria Colon

Maria Colon, 74, of Elizabeth, New Jersey passed away peacefully on August 12th. She leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, memories and lessons that will live on through the people she loved and who loved her. Maria, also known as Chachi, was loving, caring, compassionate and a sassy woman who cared deeply and loved without limit. Her presence was known in every room that she entered. She showed her love in countless ways whether it was a home cooked meal, advice you never asked for, dancing the night away, or simply just being there when you needed someone to talk to. Maria had a way of making even the smallest of moments feel special. Family was the heart of who she was, nothing meant more to her in this world. She cherished the moments spent as a family. Maria is survived by her husband, Santos Colon, her two daughters, Maritza and Veronica, her son, Santos and her grandchildren, Jorge, Santos, Janistie, Isabella and Ricardo. Maria was the best wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her greatest legacy is not just the life she lived but the way she made people feel. Loved. Seen. Cared for and never alone. Maria “Chachi” Colon will be deeply missed, loved, and never forgotten.
