Maria Concepcion Espat

Maria Concepción “Conchita” Espat passed peacefully on September 14, 2026, at the age of 83, in Miami, Florida, accompanied by her children.

She was born in Peten, Guatemala to Julio Santizo Baeza and Francisca Pinelo Pinelo on December 8, 1942. She was one of five children; Lilly, Julio, Rene, Maria “Conchita” and Mario Santizo Pinelo. She is preceded in death by her parents and three older siblings.

On April 29, 1962, she married Jose Salvador Espat, Jr. in Guatemala and moved to Belize to share a life together where they had four children. She was a loving mother to Shelley Quevedo (Henry), Ingrid Boudreaux (Jeffery), Joanne Latimer (Dave) and Salvador Espat, III (Noemi); and a beloved grandmother to Gabriella Quevedo (Reno), Andre and Giselle Boudreaux, Zoe Latimer and Jacob and Gavin Espat.

Losing your mother and grandmother is heartbreaking, no matter how many years you have together. We will forever treasure our memories and carry her love with us. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
