Maria Elena Morales

Maria Elena Morales, age 67, of Harlingen Tx, passed away on Saturday, May 30th, 2026, surrounded by family and friends.Ellen, as she was known to all, was born on March 7, 1959, to Ambrocio and Soledad Aguilar. She grew up in Chicago and later on graduated from Richards Vocational High School and later attended University of Illinois at Chicago.She married George on November 30, 1991, and together they shared 34 years of marriage. They were both baptized as one of Jehovah’s witnesses on Feb 23, 1992. They welcomed Alyce on March 22, 1995. Together they were a very tight-knit family and made it point to spend time together. She cherished her time with family and friends. Ellen is remembered for her kindness and quick wit.She enjoyed dancing, traveling, the outdoors and above all, a clean and immaculate home.Ellen is survived by her husband George, daughter Alyce, siblings Theresa, Juanita, Elsie, Ruth, Alicia, and Ambrose Jr and her many many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ambrocio and Soledad Aguilar, and siblings Rosa and Rabecca.A celebration of life service will be held on Friday June 5th, 2026, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 7750 W. Cermak Rd, Forest Park, IL from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a prayer service beginning at 3:00 pm. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.
