Obituary
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Maria Medeiros Sousa on June 28, 2026, at the age of 78. She was the wife of Mr. João Luis Sousa, daughter of the late Guillermo Medeiros and the late Maria Bulhoes.
In addition to her husband, she leaves to mourn her sons Tony (Julie Bouladier) and Larry (Audrey-Ann Canuel), her grandchildren Raphaël, Coralie, Jacob, Samuel, and Aurélia. She also leaves her brothers Agostino (late Eduarda) and José (Fernanda), her sisters Paulina (late João) and Oligia, as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters Fernanda and Branca (José).
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cooperative Funeral Home of Outaouais located at 95, boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes in Gatineau (Hull sector). The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. at the same location, followed by burial at Notre-Dame de Hull Cemetery at 75, boulevard Fournier.
