It is with great sadness that we share with you the passing of Maria Rita Fregosi on May 21, 2026, at the age of 88. She and her husband Ted Fregosi were beloved longtime parishioners of St. Joseph’s Parish. They were married 64 years. She is survived by her daughters Lynne Madonna (Fregosi), her daughter Lisa Stockman (Fregosi), and son Christopher Fregosi. Grandchildren Jonathan, Mathew, James, Thomas, Hailey, Nicholas, and Jordan. Great-grandchildren Lilly Ann, Boe, Knox, Mason, Noah, Colt, and Graham. Maria was active in the Italian Catholic Federation locally and district wide. She was in charge of decorating the church and coordinating the Christmas pageant for years. Member of the local lunch bunch and Catholic Ladies Society here in Auburn.
Please join us for the rosary at St. Joseph’s Church 1162 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA 95603 June 5th at 6 PM and the funeral mass June 6th at 11 AM.
Reception to follow in the St. Joseph Parish Hall 155 Pine Street, Auburn, CA 95603.
Flowers may be sent to the church prior to mass.
